About Sarah Wedgbury Consulting

Japan and Japanese has been in my life for nearly 20 years now and my enthusiasm has certainly not diminished. Having lived in Japan for 4 years I missed the company of Japanese people when I returned to the UK which is why I found myself working in a Japanese restaurant where around 90% of the staff were Japanese nationals. Little did I know that this was going to be the platform to my present career.

Interpreting at sushi making classes meant a new found enthusiasm for Japanese food which led to a 2 month sabbatical around Japan to learn more about Japanese food and regionality. Visits to sake breweries and seeing the passion with which sake is brewed has resulted in me starting to import and lecture about sake.

I was just browsing the web and found your posts on Japanese food and drink. With the same last name I found it fascinating that we both have a love of this food and culture. I myself lived in Japan for over 13 years and visit there 2-3 times per year. I will try to follow your posts and would love to interact with you via email. Do you ever make it to the States or do you travel frequently to Japan?

    Hi Sarah

My name is Taka. I’m a musician in UK and a bass player for the band called Feeder. I enjoyed your articles on your website but haven’t seen your updates for some time. Are you still doing this website?

I’m making my own Japanese cooking website. It’s not an authentic japanese foods but from basic to a bit funky ones. I wondered if you mind if I make a link to your site on my site?

    • Hi Taka

Thank you so much for your message! You are right, I have not updated my site recently! Thank you for reminding me. I will try and come up with something interesting soon.

I would be more than happy for you to make a link to my site. Please let me know when you start your website as I am really interested in seeing it.

  3. Sarah could you contact me? Nik@nikcoleman.com regarding a TV series. Cheers, Nik
